Honourable Datuk Amar Haji Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, Deputy Premier of Sarawak, undertook a working visit to Sweden from 26 to 27 April 2024. Accompanying the Deputy Premier were the Deputy Minister for Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment, Advisor to the Ministry for International Trade, Industry and Investment, as well as other top government officials from the relevant agencies of Sarawak.

The visit was aimed to promote Sarawak as an investment hub for green technology, forest management, and sustainable wood-based industries. Programmes of the visit include meeting with the State Secretary to the Minister for Rural Affairs of Sweden; engagement with the representatives of Swedish Forest Agency and Business Sweden; and a visit to Holmen, Hallstavik.
